How About Two Million, and Call It Even...?

Below is the photo by Andreas Gursky of the Rhine River which sold for a record 4.3 Million Dollars at an auction held by Christie's...FOUR POINT THREE MILLION...whoa!!

Here is a photo by Scotty Graham of some unknown river in Africa...I'll take half of what Andreas sold his for....how about TWO Million even?...I'll even make a massive sized print for you...sounds fair to me...any takers? Should I put it up for auction at Christie's?

Scotty, unlike Andreas you did not erase the bulk of the clutter. Perhaps if you remove all the gorgeous flamingos there might be a Christie's opportunity.

Tongue in cheek of course.

Hmm, I dunno, keep the flamingos, but get rid of those reflections and maybe the weeds on the other side. Just leave the trees.
Next time I'm at Christie's with two million in my purse, I'll buy it.

if that one sold for 4.3, yours should sell for 100 million... seriously! WoW!

hehe....thanks guys...just kidding, of course...on the other hand, why would anyone play 4.3 million for that photograph? If you get the chance, check out this photo that is the "second most expensive photo" ever sold...I don't get it.

Almost as bad…

http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/william-eggleston-untitled-1970/5536829/lot/lot_details.aspx?from=salesummary&intObjectID=5536829&sid=23680e67-4f89-4198-bc47-a34df7ccfc96

Why in God's name would someone pay this kind of money for an Espon printed inkjet image? And now Eggleston is being sued by the person who bought this as an "original" wet print years ago.
